I got my HID kit in today and its made by Xentech. Im waiting on a set of lenses to get in --- I got antsy and opened it up to check it out. Everything seems to be idiot proof minus one part. The bulb plugs into the ballast. From the ballast is a red and black wire that plug into the factory harness. This kit comes with 2 plastic fittings for the red and black wire and this is where my questions comes into play.

So here it is:

With clip notch upward, is the black (-) wire going to be on the left or the right side of the clip? It could go either way.... looking for some help.

I bought the same kit for my highs, the black plastic adapter is use for the long spade connectors. You put the spade connectors thru the round wholes, and i use a pair of long needle nose to pull them as far as they will go without breaking them. as far as the leads, the red one has to be match with the right whole from the factory harness. Just to be safe, i tried them just by pushing tem in there deep enoght for a connection to be made; without the black plastic adapter. then when i figure out the polarity i made the permanent connection with the black adpater. if you want, i can take a picture of mine and email it to you. I bought the 5000k, it looks great... nice color... I hope this answer your question...
