I just picked up a '08 Tahoe Z71 yesterday, it is a certified pre owned with 50, ooo miles. I have 12 months-12,000 miles with the CPO but would like to possibly explore an additional extended warranty, anyone have any good advice for me? I will keep this truck for a long time, my current Trailblazer is a 2002 that has 290,000 an I bought it brand new.

I've had nothing but nightmares with an aftermarket extended warranty.
Got one with my typhoon and I may as well have set the money on fire and rolled around in it.
Investigate the company before making the commitment.

If you are thinking about adding warranty to your tahoe, and it's a cpo from a gm dealer, make sure you get the GMPP (general motors protection plan) warranty. The "third" party companies are a nightmare to deal with most of the time in comparison to gm's. I am a believer in these warranties, but you make you own decision what will work for you.
