Alright, I'm looking at these floor mats for my '03 Tahoe.

http://customfloorliners.com/carpet-floor-mats-c-1.html
I like those better.

or

http://customfloorliners.com/rubber-floor-mats-c-2.html These are also OK.

How will either of these match up to my factory carpet?

Has anyone had any experiences with either of these? I have removed one of the seats on the 3rd row due to adding a subwoofer. I would like to have a mat to go under the seat on the right (and the sub), but to still cover the open area between the seat and the sub. I also saw this:

http://www.4wheelparts.com/Interior...=9&t_s=272&t_pt=3333&t_pl=3272&t_pn=NIF721612

It has cutouts for the 3rd row seats. Is this a bad option for mixing them with the other mats? I want to protect that rear area as best I can. The sub is removable, so I may have some junk in its place sometimes. If I got the rubber mats, could I get them cut or is that a bad idea?

I know this was long, but thanks for reading! I'm new to the upgrade scene! (I'm 16, and just getting this as my first vehicle )

Thanks!

I bought Weathertech mats for my hoe. I wanted something that's form fitted, and pretty much ANY-Weather proof. The front mats and the 2nd row single mat are perfect. The back needed some work, but it has really proven to be a great purchase, and has saved my cargo carpet many times.

Here's a link to the photos I took a while back, and the modifications I did to the rear cargo mat so that it suited my needs.

Good luck.

Wow, that setup really looks great! I think i'll probably end up doing something like that with mine. What did you end up cutting the mat with? A utility knife/box cutter maybe?

I also saw you did the K&N Air filter on it. Did that make a big difference? Was it worth it?

Thanks!

My WeatherTechs were a perfect fit. I like how they even cover the area under the 2nd and 3rd row seats.

great all-weather mats

Hey whitecar - I've actually put those mats in my 02 Tahoe and my 00 Mustang after seeing them in a buddy's car. They form fit to every curve and I like the design better than the Husky/Weathertech mats - I'm not a fan of the lips on the those mats, I prefer the flat mold design, but that's just an opinion.

It all depends on what you like - I think the mats are made out of pretty much the same material, just molded/cut differently. Have fun with your first Tahoe my friend!

Yeah, i think i like those rubber ones are probably best for me. Since I have only one 3rd row seat, do you think i could cut a hole in them for the seat brackets (or whatever you wanna call them) in the floor for the right seat? I'll try to put a photo up later.

trimming lloyd mats

...do you think i could cut a hole in them for the seat brackets (or whatever you wanna call them) in the floor for the right seat?...

Yea, you can trim them up like any other rubber mats - I think they fit up under the seats a little better than others and you don't have to trim the lips on the edges off and the indentions contain any water...if you trim the edge off mats like Husky and Weather tech the lines still run to the edge and fluid can leak off the mat.

Thanks for the help! I'll probably order those!

Oh one last thing... do they match up okay with the factory tan interior carpet?

I don't know about matching the color - I got the black ones with charcoal interior. Looks like those guys have images of the color options - shouldn't be too far off but might not be an exact match on the rubber floor mats.

You can cut the rear liner with scissors. I used a ballpoint pent to mark exact corners, and then cut it with an x-acto & straight edge.

I know the shape of the cargo liner is intended to hold stray fluids (hence the lip all the way around the perimeter), but I figured if I'm cutting out the holes for the 3rd row seats I may as well trim the lip and tuck it to make it clean.

I really can't say enough good things about these mats, especially the front ones that take a beating daily. I just take them out and clean them like the rest of the truck, and put them back in.

I believe if you buy the set (1st, 2nd & 3rd row floor) you get a better deal. The cargo mat was separate.

Good luck
