Wheres the best place to find a rebuilt tahoe engine? My first thought was to put an ls engine in but I don't have the money for a project like that. My tahoes engine is on the way out, 250k, and has zero power left in it. I love the truck and like to get it back to its original condition. I also dont want the vortec engine, just the 350, so is there a website or whatever where i could start looking?

i don't have a site for them, but you may be able to find a good engine in a wrecked hoe. other than that call up a few local mechanics and see if they can get you one, or if they'll tell you where they get them at.

My thoughts are, if you have any in your area, is to find a local hotrod shop where they do alot of work on Vettes and Camaros etc.. and tell them you need a new engine installed. They typically have on hand several "stock engine pulls" that were replaced by upgraded 427s etc. and just laying around that can be purchased very cheap.

In addition to, they may have an LS motor that they can adapt along with the PCM/BCM to your hoe.

Just a thought,
