I have been having a few issues with my dash since I bought my 1993 Yukon, 2 dr.
Issue 1: The trip odometer does not work. It either does not move at all or move really fast...about 200 miles per 1 actual mile (does not go in sequence either).
Issue 2: I have reason to believe that I have a short in my Volt meter.
I recently bought a used dash cluster from a local private party with the hope of pulling mine out and replacing the broken parts. Does anyone know how to do this or have any suggestions?

I would also be willing to pull out my odometer and put it in the one I bought. The reason for not swapping them out is that my Yukon has about 185k miles on it and his had 240k miles.

Thanks for all the help!

well... u could try turning the miles back.. or.. take it to a GM Dealer, and have them turn the miles back... i don't know if it is that easy at all to replace the componets on the inside of the cluster

the dealer can roll them back without screwing up the numbers? (not sure on the tahoe's but some vehicles the space between the numbers turns green to show they have been rolled forward or back.)

if they can without screwing them up i'll track down an escalade guage cluster for mine. :)
