One of the horns is out and I can't find the location without taking the car apart. Can anyone direct me so I don't remove anything unnecessarily? I know it's somewhere underneath/around the battery. I took the grill off but that didn't help. A google search only found a reference to the horn in an Avalanche which said it was located under the air intake. Is that correct? If so, then that's the horn that's out b/c I am only getting sound from the left front/fender area.

Are there two horns or only one with two different tones?

TIA

On an 04 Tahoe, they are both below the lights. Remove the headlights and the DRL assembly. Looking at the headlight, the horns are the bottom left corner (left headlight) and bottom right corner (right headlight). They are screwed in by a 10 mm.

I changed mine to a Bosch Super horn. I didn't remove the stock ones anymore. I just mounted the new horns behind the grill and used the stock horn wiring. It didn't need a relay.
