Need some help...

Ok, i'll try to make this simple and answer any questions along the way. Every once in awhile when i park my tahoe i get a light smell of gas around the rear of the car. When i completely fill the tank i get a very intense smell of gas inside while i'm driving. i also get a P442 code from the computer. I replaced the gas cap and cleared the code. it was gone for awhile but it popped back on with the same code. i think its tied to the gas im smelling but im lost on this. any help would be appreciated.

P0442: Evaporative Emissions Leak Detected (Small Leak)

Could be a broken vent line, a hole in the top of the tank, anywhere where gas can leak out...... could have the filler neck rusted and have a few pinholes in it......
