I just purchased a dual in and dual out muffler... Not realizing its illegal to dump mufflers on SUV's, and don't really wanna spend the money on dual pipes. I was thinking about dumping one inlet and shooting the other out the original tailpipe. Or one welder told me he could weld on a dual inlet into a single outlet onto the muffler to where im just shooting both inlets out the original tailpipe. What do ya'll think? Which one should i do? And what will they sound like???:superhack:

but just to let y'all know i ended up going with one outlet dumped and the other outlet out the original tailpipe. It sounds great and wast effected at all by the routing. The welder first dumped it just so i could see if it was gonna sound different than the way i ended up doing it. It is a little noisy in the cab tho but i don't think its too bad. im happy with the way it came out. eventually will prob put on dual pipes with tips when i hAve the money

If you understood my post, the thread is not garbage, but the constant complaining 2 hours after you post something that no one has replied IS garbage.....

That being said, What are you going to school for?

I grew up in a GM shop, watching my uncle tear stuff apart after school. I also got into computers and electronics instead of the automotive field. I have learned alot about cars just by doing and tearing into them, good luck.....

id depends on where you live. im in california and they are very strict about that stuff. as long as the pipes connecto somewhere along the exhaust we normally see whats called an "X" pipe but just to make it legal.
