Have an '07 Yukon XL with 9000 miles. Began noticing a mildew smell coming from A/C upon start-up. Think the dealer remedied the problem today, says there is a bulletin on it. Has anyone else had a similiar problem. If this did fix it, will post results in a few days should anyone encounter it in the future.

Had this problem on older Yukon and solved it by using a spray product from Wal-Mart called Ozum. Spray it in inlet duct grill work in front of windshield with fan running on high. It kills the stuff growing in the duct. Lysol also works well.

Thanks for the suggestion. In this case, GM has put out a bulletin and will send the dealer a kit that basically does what you did, but under warranty. I was also told there is a fan that is computer controlled that dries out the air vents after the vehicle is shut down. Some are not programmed properly, which was the case with mine. They pulled the service bulletins, showed me all of this info, used the cleaning kit and re-programmed the fan, cured the problem......
Am told others either have faced or will face this problem in several '07 Yukons and Tahoes.
