i have been having this problem pretty much since i bought the 'hoe... i just didnt want to post it here because i feel like a tottal assbag :sla:

when i bought the truck the first thing i did was adjust the seats, the pedals and mirrors and than locked those setting into button number one... well, I set the driver side mirror out to far... so i adjust it back in and press and hold the button to set it to the memory. problem is, it ALWAYS goes back to that original setting i set it to when i bought the truck... no matter what the hell i do, the mirror always goes back to that first setting i set it too... WTF people!

Its not a big deal obviously, but just annoying that each and every time i hope in my truck i have to adjust the mirror... every single time :mad2:

WTF WTF WTF

Mine does similar things. I bought mine from my old man and the first day i set everything to my liking. For the first couple days I would hit button number one just to check that everything was holding - it was. Now this past weekend my girlfriend drove my truck so i got in it, pushed button number 1 and it went back to my dad's settings. I don't know what holds the memory, but maybe its gong bad? I am not sure, i'm no good when it comes to electronics.

LOL... be grateful... at least you HAVE memory seats / mirrors... I'm 6'4"... wife is 5'2"... EVERY time I get in my Tahoe, I have to slide the seat all the way back and adjust all the mirrors...

I wish I could help you, but I'm just not as cool as you... :smilielol:

hahaha

well i had to get the leather because i have kids and when sh*t gets spilled on cloth it either doesnt come out or it takes more effort than birthing a child to get it out... leather is usually a quick whipe and a little cleaning once you get home... and with the leather comes all the other cool BS... unfortunaly the cool BS doesnt work most of the time

Yup, i feel you man on having to always adjust the seats. My wife is shorter so I constantly have to readjust to me. Once in a great while she moves the seat back for me.. Oh yeah, I don't have the memory seats, just the leather.

hey when you adjust the mirror do you do it in reverse because if you are doing it in reverse you are only adjusting the reverse mode you have to do it in both park and reverse. not sure if thats it but hope that helps

Thats really strange mine started doing something similar just this week. My driver #1 & 2 have the lumar control set pretty soft (probably in the middle) and now every time I press unlock or hit the driver 1 or 2 buttons inside, the lumbar control goes as firm as it will go. I don't know what's up, its annoying having to reset everything every time I get in now.

I hope somebody can figure it out.

I love this board.

Hubby and I are 8 days into life with our "GM Optimum recertified" '04 XL SLT. At present, there are 16 unresolved problems with the truck. With that much odd stuff going on, I was starting to wonder if I was nuts when I couldn't even get the memory system to work. I mean - the truck has 80,000km on it...how much could possibly screw up in 80k? I fix computers for a living - interacting with a simple truck can't be that hard, can it?

I know that we were given the wrong fobs for the truck, which would explain why it can't set itself up automatically when we unlock it. However, we haven't gotten reliable responses from the 1/2 buttons on the door panel either. It's reassuring to know that people with more of a clue about their trucks have had problems like this.

Our poor critter is booked in for quality time with the dealership's techs starting tomorrow morning. Before I take it back, they're going to have to demonstrate the memory system performing properly umpteen times using both the door and some new correct key fobs. If I can drag an explanation out of the dealership for what went wrong, I'll be sure to let you know what they say.
