Hello- looking to replace my 98 4Runner as Lowes mule and snow bitch, as well as being a daily driver so I can stop putting miles on my car. I'm looking to spend around $13k, and that should get me into an 07 with between 150k-200k. The ones I've been looking at online look to be in perfect condition other than obviously high mileage and some have peeling on the climate control buttons.

Reading reviews on here about high mileage Tahoes make me think I just need to worry about normal maintenance, but reading horror stories all over google make me wonder if every one I'm looking at have excessive oil consumption/low oil pressure problem.

-any tell tale signs when I go to look at them in person, other than the obvious info center message?

-any other common "big" problems I should be worried about in high mileage?

-any reason to stay away from Suburbans other than the lower MPGs?

Appreciate the help, and hope to be an active owner soon!

I recently bought an 02 Tahoe and even with the 140k miles on it the thing that sealed the deal was getting all maintenance and repair paperwork from the one and only owners. There are lots of threads on here about the intake leaks, AFM engine problems, blend door actuators, serp belt tensioners and idler, etc....Look at all of them.
