OK I'm installing the overhead console. The pocket with the two map lights on it. Mine didn't have anything.

Besides going and buying a manual and looking up the wiring diagrams yourself stupid. Where should I run the power for the map lights from?

I almost ran it from the dome light but realized the power would shut off to them when the door closed.

Do you have the rear view w/ Onstar? I would assume that has power at all times.

No, don't have it.
All right let's say I get 1 wire with power to the lights where would I put the other wire?

This truck has lots of left over power wires from various lights and radios that were in it. I was kinda hoping to put it were it would have been if it came that way but I can't understand the wire diagrams in the manual. I f...ing hate wiring.

Just run a wire from the battery to the dash. I'm having a run of 8 GA to my center console to power my head unit and have a supply for remote wires, and fans and monitor. My own little 12 volt source.

So the 2 wires that come from the light, put power to 1 and the other to ground?
