Magictouch Handles?

Hey,
Has anyone seen, heard of, or installed these magic touch handles. I like the way it looks and the way it works but im not sure if it is secure and if the power source is fine. If your battery dies then your pretty much screwed. I think they cost about a $950 a handle.
Is it something worth considering getting or just something you put on a car for a show?

i have them on the vette, their cool, but if your hands are full or you dont grip them perfectly, then they dont work and that can be frustrating. oni the vette there are emergency straps that pop them open in the trunk.
