I've ordered a plain open tray cup holder to replace my stock LTZ wood one with the 2 openings. I realize this topic has been covered frequently but I am unable to find out HOW to remove the existing LTZ cup holder assembly.

My question for someone who has done it is, how exactly do you get the stock one out? Just lift and pull away? Or lift/pull from the back first?

Really hoping to not mangle my brand new Tahoe's interior but want the open space the plain bucket provides.

Thanks!

Welcome to the neighborhood!

I don't have an LTZ, but with 99% of them you just need to pull up and they come right out. They are held in by plastic clips and shouldn't be too hard to remove.

Thanks for info and the welcome. Will post separately but let month I actually sold my 2008 Z71 after 3+ years and temporarily jumped ship to a $60,000 Lexus GX for 2 weeks. I missed my Tahoe so much I took a major haircut (don't want to talk about the $) and traded for a LTZ. Love the 6 speed tranny and LTZ finish.
