ltz 6.2 ???? arrival

folks has anyone seen any of the 6.2 ltr ltz yet, i have looked last couple week in houston, and i haven't seen any yet

I believe the 2wd model is available online now but the 4wd model will not be available until the '09 models come out.

It's not something you'll very easily spot, since it's an "internal" thing...just written on the sticker.

Best way to find out if there's any even near you is go to a dealer and have them search their Dealerworld system in the local area for a 2wd LTZ (only combo it is optional on) with the 6.2L option and see if there are any hits.

There has to be a few around somewhere...and that's the only real way to find out in a few seconds, where.

You may not be able to see it, but surely you will be able to hear it. They are quite loud, are they not?

I'm holding out for a new body tahoe Z71 with the 6 cylinder duramax, L92 6.2 is a beast of a motor tho.

Yes, the Autotrac 4x4 system to be used with the 6.2L was said not to be ready yet, hence it being available on 2wd LTZ's only. Sounds correct, as they needed to change the system just a tad to handle the extra grunt.

Should be there for '09.

That said, again, if you want to find a LTZ 2wd 6.2L somewhere...go to a dealer anywhere and ask them to search the area on Dealerworld. There has to be at least a few, likely in the southern and west sections of the country due to the 2wd.
