My '01 Denali had it's fuel pump replaced about 6 months ago (at the dealership). I noticed afterwards when I let off the gas pedal (coming up to a stop sign or something), the RPMs would drop pretty low, down to about 400. It was kind of irritating, when I would step on the gas there would be a momentary lag then a 'grab' as the RPMs went up.

Well now the RPMs are dropping to about 300, the dash lights dim, and on 3 occasions recently it has actually stalled.

I'd bring it back to the dealer but I was wondering if there was a easy adjustment I could make, and save myself the time of making an appt.

I would start by checking regular maintenance items - have you looked at your air filter lately?

Clean your mass air flow sensor (they make special cleaner just for it), get some "Deep Creep", a seafoam product in an spray can, and hose out your throttle body real good, and then seafoam your trucks intake through the master cylinder brake hose, sounds like all that will be the trick. I had the same problem with my truck just shortly after I bought it, did all of the above and runs like a champ now!!!

Yep, my LQ4 had some idle issues when I bought it, I simply cleaned up the t-body & used MAF specific cleaner on the MAF and all was well afterwards. Just be careful when pouring or spraying anything into the intake system, do NOT enter too much liquid into it at any one time, or you may mechanically damage or hydrolock the engine. Just use a little bit at a time. Also make sure you don't over-oil the K&N, or you may contaminate the MAF.
