So I have '99 Tahoe LT. When ever I go over a crack in the road in my neighborhood at like 15 mph, or on a dirt road, they rattle soooo loud. I have heard that it could be the hinges? I was rear ended a few years back and had the body shop guys replace the bushings. But no help. I did see on fullsizechevy forum that a guy had the same problem, and that it was maybe a striker plate swap....I can't remember, and I can't find that thread again ANYWAYS...I wanted to know if any of you guys have the same problem, and if this door hinge/striker work sounds plausible.

does you door move if you push out/pull in on it when your sitting inside? almost sounds like your striker plate/hinges are loose and letting the door have some play in it.

The hinges get worn after awhile. had mine replaced for about $80.00....I noticed that the door wasnt really lined up like it should. now it is!..the bolts and hinges are pretty inexpensive. pretty common though.hope this helps
