96 2dr Yukon keeps burning up fuel pump relays. Anyone experienced this? The truck runs fine for a while then will suddenlly either die out while driving or not start. Inevitably I go to the relay and it is either semi melted on one of the terminals (same one every time) or has a poor connection. Now the connection on the fuse box is slightly melted and causes a worse connection problem.

Is my fuel pump going bad and causing this or do I have a different problem? This has been an ongoing issue for the past couple years. :zav:

Thanks

Fuel pump relay meltdown

Saw your thread from August '08. Were you able sort out the root cause of the melted fuel pump relay problem? Curiouse what was going on with your 1996 truck.
Thanks,
Ken

Sounds to me like you have an increased amp draw somewhere. Bad wire going to the pump or a bad connection at the pump.
