Looking for a 2nd row bench seat

We are a proud new owner of a fully loaded LTZ with every option available.

One option that may not work for us is the 2nd row bucket seats, we like them but with a new baby boy on the way we would like to put a car seat in that the middle of the 2nd row so that we wont have to swap sides depending on whether one or both of us are in front.

Just got off the phone with the dealer and don't sell a complete seat just the parts to build one due to "safety reasons" and that would be ridiculous in time and money.

He told me to try and find a custom interior shop that may have something that would fit, but I would rather have the real thing.

I have searched this forum and others about this situation and have found that swapping with someone who wants the buckets for bench is the only way.

Has anyone been successful in obtaining a "factory" bench any other way?

If not is someone interested in Ebony bucket seats for there Ebony bench seat in the North GA area?

Dam I would love to have those seats as I have the bench, problem is I live in California and I wonder how hard it would be to swap? i would just love to have those seats instead of my bench. I would love to find a way to make that work.

What ya need to do first is make sure it's a plug and play swap. There may be different mounting points and areas for the two seats. Also if its an LTZ the second row should be heated..right. Which means there may be a difference in that connection also.

My bench is not heated and I don't know if that is an issue or if it es even an option for the bench seat. i would just love to have the other seating configuration.

My bench is heated, thats why I asked, (2008). But I think mounting points are the real question here.

I was considering purchasing an LTZ with the bench but I, too, wanted the buckets. I called every Chevy service department in Central Florida (funny how you get different answers depending on who picks up the phone but anyway...) the consensus opinion from those that were competent enough to offer any answer at all was that the mounting points are NOT the same and swapping would require significant re-configuration on the floor. :nonod:

Thanks for all the input, I knew the mounts were probably different, but I think the floor will support both.

Anyway the dealership called to make sure we were completely happy with the truck, I said that it was great and we loved it alot!

I did bring up the bench seat issue and he thinks he can help. He said that he would forward my concern to the correct people.

I will keep you all posted if he comes through.

This is a minor issue and I am sure that things will be fine with the buckets, so I not sweating it.

This is a great truck and we will enjoy it for years to come. :thumbsup:
