Lights out

Just purchased a 2004 Hoe, 5.3 LT...
Rear view mirror, the temp only displays "OC"... the compass works fine.. anybody knows anything about this?
Second thing...
running lights/head lights, dash lights and radio will shut off from time to time.. re-engaging the light switch seems to work and everything turns back on... is this some kind of sensor?

OC stands for Open circuit and means you must replace the sensor mounted at the front of the truck. Easy fix as it is in the middle of the truck by the hood latch in front of the radiator. It has a connector inline

The only thing im trying to figure out now, maybe you would know...
how many different ambient senors do the HOEs have? because i was told that the light problem is from a interior ambient sensor....

just in case anybody needs to know,
the ambient temp sensor is for the OC in the rear view mirror... the sensor in located in front of the radiator... $10 at autozone..
the interior ambient sensor, $18 at autozone, the little bubble by the windshield vents, is the one that controls the day time lights and all that.....
