My daughter's 2006 Tahoe has a rear lift gate problem. I think it is the actuator because when she tries to unlock the lift gate there is a faint click but nothing moves.
The lift gate trim is off. It looks like it won't be all that hard to pull out and replace.
-- Is that a valid assumption?
-- Is there anything more complicated to doing this besides just unbolting it, unplugging it, and installing the new part reversing the steps?
------- Are there any linkages or some such that could get screwed up?
------- Any parts to lose?
I'm having to do this "remote control." I am in Georgia and she is in Arkansas and will be relying on mechanically-inclined friends to do the remove and replace.
Thanks for any suggestions.
