So I just bought this 95 Tahoe 350 TBI with 170k. When I bought it from the guy he said there were no real problems just the gas gauge is way out of wack on full it is WAY past full then 20 gallons later it is on half a tank. So after getting it home I notice it smokes a LOT every time I start it and it runs through coolant (not too big of a deal I guess) I decide to change out the intake manifold gasket in case it is a leak there as it isn't external. So I do that and set the timing but now the thing is like impossible to start especially when warm (manual and tag on radiator say 0 degrees). Also when changing the oil there is a ton of coolant in it (blown head gasket or cracked head right?) My dad says the tough start could be lack of fuel pressure because of a clogged fuel filter or at the throttle body. just this morning I go get gas and go home to find it now externally leaking coolant at the heater hose to the radiator. Are all of these trucks such crap or did I just luck out? This is a lot of stuff to fix for a truck that has "no problems".
