Is suspension issue tied to Stabilink?

I had the "service suspension system" information in the DTC for about a month and have been clearing it until I could get time to get it diagnosed and repaired. For about the past week the warning message has not come back.To day when traveling in very heavy rain, the Stabilink light would come on and the car would try to brake. Went on for abut 20 miles, rain stopped and didn't happen again.

Question: Could the suspension issue cause the satbailink to act up?

Question What would cause the service suspension system to stop giving the error message?
