Instrument Panel

Hello,

My instrument panel (miles, mpg, etc) light is not working anymore... I have tried to raise the dimmers, but still nothing. Also, at night.. I can see everything else lit up, except my mileage etc. Anybody know how to fix this?

so its just the trip part that you cant see? or is it the whole panel - RPM, MPH, gas, battery and such?

Cause if its just the DIC then you need to press the first button on the DIC controls

Scroll thru those and you should be golden. if thats not the case then i dunno

It is just the odometer...

The RPM's and MPH work. The only other thing that is out is where you can see if the car is in gear (reverse, drive, first, second, third). I can barely see that though.

Anyways, any more help would be great.

i really dont know what to tell you... i say take it by the dealership.

im assuming you are still under warranty? cause then its free! thats what i would do.

Still nothing... I can't do anything with it. I can't see my tire pressure, miles per gallon, etc. I have tried replacing some fuses, but still nothing. Any body else have anything. By the way I am out of warrenty.

Sorry for resurrecting this thread as my second post on the forums but I have this same problem on my 07 LTZ. Along with this problem I beleive the cruise control cutting out over a bump is related. Maybe a connector in the steering column or Dash area? Mabey a common plug in the fire wall? IDK any help would rock... Thanks in advance!

I will check on this tomorrow for you all to see if there are any recalls or Tech Bulletins, etc.

I did some checking and apparently there are two things that may be causing this, either the ignition itself has a glitch or is bad or the cluster is bad and failing to allow the DIC to work. Unfortunately, the best way to check this is to replace with new parts to eliminate them individually. But that can get expensive. Sorry this isn't more help.
