So I have ALL my windows tinted at 5%....

It is really dark at night and hard to see....

I just need a basic camera....preferably color, but wouldn't mind black and white

I also want to install it where the tape deck is....since it is not in use....

Ideas for brands, pricing, models...?

depends on how much you want to spend. Crutchfield had the older kenwood 7100 with a free backup camera because the new model was coming out. But they are only sellign refurb ones now, it's like $800. The new model is like a grand but these have navigation.

For navigation models window shop here:

For non navigation window shop here:
http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Group/ProductMenu.aspx?showAll=Y&g=168550&c=3&tp=75

then you have to buy a cam too.

I actually removed the tape deck out of the center console. Then I gutted out the tape deck and kept the metal housing. I got a roll of black tool box drawer liner fitted the inside of the tape deck housing and used spray adhesive to glue it in place. I used foam tape around the edges and reinstalled it. I use it to hold my bcell phone and radio remote.
Next to my climate controls is an open space, I will be mounting my camera there.
