My friend just installed my Bi-Xenon kit today. He hit me for $500 b/c he said the new GM's needed resistors. Does this sound right?

Whoa. I hope that included a super-duper kit as well. Sounds pretty high, and I dunno what he''s talking about re: resistors. The pricier kits come with a harness for the connections to the battery and stuff, but no resistors... :confused2:
WHEELMAN322,
Where did you get your HIDs done? I'm planning on coming up to NJ for the Thanksgiving holiday to visit fam. I'm in the Mt. Holly/Ft. Dix/McGuire AFB area...about 20 minutes south of Trenton. Is your friend a pro shop installer? Did he do a great job? You have my interest peaked! Post pics soon! :clapping:
Yeah...All of the other cars I've done was at a similiar price. I was just hard for a bi-xenon set and went to the first place i knew had them in stock. Won't be doing that again.I got my h.i.d kit from Pilot and they are awesome but I only paid $200 and put em in myself
^ Yep...that's the usual price for a standard kit.did u just get lows? or did you get highs and fogs as well? i got my kits on sale for 200 each so it was only 400 for my lows and highs.
Been slackin' on the pictures b/c I haven't waxed her yet. I bought another car and have been tied up with that for the past few weeks. If I don't wax it soon...I'll have it done by my guy and take some nice hi-res pics.Bi xenon means low adn highs
Btw when're are the pictures
That seems like a good price. I bought my single filment HID kit for $300. I was able to get Bi for $400. 2 hour instal, at $60 an hour... I say that's a pretty good deal, especially with 3 year waranty. All my friends that use bi-xenons have always had a problem with them burining out fast... So since you have the waranty it'll be nice if you have problems just to drive there and say "fix it". I have just standart single filment HIDs. They are brighter than most people's halogen brights, so enh... doesn't matter to me. It's pretty bright in my city all the time, so I don't even know when I'd use my brights.
