I have a 2002 Cadillac Escalade and need some help with installing my new deck.

I recently purchased a new Jensen VM9512TS retractable monitor deck and have a METRA 70-1858 wiring harness for it. I will also be installing a set of subs and amp in the truck.

My main question is for installation of the deck and to keep the truck in working order is that the only wiring harness I would need? or do I need to purchase a GM Factory Integration Adapter? Something like this http://www.crutchfield.com/S-CmnCrDcXyQx/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?I=120GMOS04

Mind you I never use the onstar I just heard to get the basic Bose sound system to work I would potentially need it. I also heard with amplified decks you can blow your stock Bose speakers and I would like to prevent this from happening.

Overall to install this aftermarket deck, will the wiring harness I have suffice? Or do I need another harness? …. Once I get all this together then I can figure out how it all goes in lol

thanks

I did find somewhere that if you have a basic wiring harness and connect the remote power on (blue/white) wire of the deck to the Pink wire on the on-star connector you can bypass the OnStar, and potentially allow all the speakers to work.

I have searched and found the interface device I would need is the PAC OS-1 interface W/Bose but this is only if I care to keep onstar. which I dont. I just want to retain the BOSE amplifier and stock speakers. Is there any way to do this by using just a regular wiring harness? METRA 70-1858
