im trying 2 get black bow ties for the front and back on a 08 tahoe are there any other options then painting them

That one was painted by the dealer. The only colors I have ever seen that weren't painted are the gold ones and the black w/red stripe.

But painting them is pretty easy. Just take your time and do light coats. Don't try to cover it in one coat. And make sure to scuff up the surface of it with a scotch brite pad before painting.

I had mine painted at the body shop I have used in the past. Obviously, white not black. Had them do the front all white but had them mask off the edges on the rear so I could get the silver outline.
