I think I screwed up?

I bought some 07 Tahoe OEM crome grill screens off of e-bay, They are just the mesh part only. With out looking at my black stock grill I was thinking I would just pop in the chrome mesh parts in place of the black mesh parts.
It looks like the OEM black grill is different than the OEM chrome grill as far as the mesh itself.

My question is doe's anyone know if my chrome mesh screen will snap in the chrome outer shells from the black grill?

More than likely, no. I believe you have to do some grill surgery. It involves cutting the stock grill away from the shell.
