I swear a bird lives under my Denali in the suspension somewhere.

I get this chirp-chirp sound like a small sparrow or something. it happens when I drive, and I can provoke it at a stop by wiggling side to side in the drivers seat as well.

I havent done any modification to the suspension since I joined last year, and that was just drop shackels in the rear. I replaced the leafsprings at that time as well.. and nitro drop shocks..
anyone have any idea on how (or what) may be making this noise? I would like to lube it up so it stops, because its annoying. And I'm havong trouble lookinig cool rolling into the grocery store parking lot with my junk all squeaky.

ok i was under there and sprayed around on different bushings and the springs and stuff. I think I got it cause I dont hear the squeek anymore.

Ill check it out tomorrow and maybe get a can of silicone-type spray and go back in there and do it proper.

good point.

I should get under there and clean the crap out of everything. then spray it with something that doesnt contain petrolium distillates. These kinds of products tend to break down the rubber and plastic parts over time. (sometimes not that long of a time.)

I used what Jiminey had at the time while it was on the lift to end the squeeking nightmare. My leaf springs are about 1 year old, and if I clean them up and re-lube them with something else that doesnt eat plastic, I hope I can minimize the effect. I didnt think of it while it was happening.

WD-40 while useful isn't the best lubricant. Something silicon based is best. It sticks better which means it will keep out water better. Besides your rubber and plastic parts WD-40 isn't that great for your metal parts. It's good for busting rust, but should be cleaned up and gone over with some silicon based stuff, 'cause once it drys it leaves your metals open to corrode again.
The only reason I know this is because corrosion is such a huge issue where I work.
