I just recently purchased a high mileage 2005 Tahoe. It was a one owner car and had eleven pages of maintenance records from a local shop to support it's care. I failed to hear an engine clicking noise on my pre-buy inspection. After doing some research and also talking to the shop that did all the preventative maintenance, I learned and was told that this is common with 4.8L engines. Lot's of helpful information on Google and You-tube. Their are no noticeable performance issues and the overall condition is good for 190K and 10 years of use. I look forward to reading forum comments about these cars and contributing any helpful hints along the way.
Thanks.
