ok, took the truck in today for an oil, tranny, coolant, transaxle, new brakes, and general service today. Guy comes back to me and says "all your work is done but one of your horns is not working". i say "one of them", he says "yes there is a high and a low note and your low note quit working". i said its been like that for ever. He said its not supposed to sound like that.

anyway i have him replace both so that their uniform. he showed me the horn and yea they were all torn up. i guess from off roading??

but WOW!!! like 50 times louder and it does not sound like an old gmc from the 40's.

but its awsome.

just throwing this out, that there are two horns.

HAHAHAAAAA!!!! ROFL man...

You were driving around in a big nasty Kon, with a little "meep! meep!" Honda civic horn! :smilielol::smilielol::smilielol:

Funny, dude. Exact thing happened to my other vehicle several months back. It was like $100.00 to get the low note replaced...it was worth every penny to restore what little manhood I have left due to the fact that it is a minivan afterall...

You didn't think it sounded a little, uh, "gay"? :D

Yeah my low is out too, sounds like a child's toy.

he had it done in less than ten minutes, cost me 100 TOTAL for the horn, oil change, coolent, tranny, and transaxle flush, so it should not be that much. at all

brakes were another story but i dont skimp on brakes. they can be a life saver. (literatly)

When I got mine used it kept blowing the horn fuse. I later went in and found out that the passenger side was shorted (rusted). I bought one from Pep Boys (You buy them buy musical notes E F etc). The horns are located behind the headlights. Remove the headlight and parking light assembly and you can see them in the rear. It was easier with a second person because the bracket is dropped from the bottom. Easy fix 10 minutes tops.
