Home made K&N setup?

Hey guys...has anyone here made their own air intake kit simply by removing the air box and installing a K&N in place of it?
Got any K&N part numbers?
I am gonna measure up mine over the next day or two....

If your not going to change the intake tube its not really worth it. Most likely you will be sucking in hotter air than with the airbox. The main reason for the k&n would probably be the tube for easier less restrictive flow.
