I have searched for this problem but have not found anything, so here goes... The high mount stop light above the rear window glass has not been working for about two years, and I was looking into it today with no luck. I checked the fuse, but the other stop lights in the tail lights work, so that's not it. I traced the wire for it through the left tail light area and below the vehicle. There is a fitting that looks like it may be a fuse holder, but there was so much wet gunk that was falling on me, I gave up!:ack: I may go back under after it dries out and I change my clothes!:rolleyes2:

Has anyone else had their light stop working? I can't believe that it has just worn out because these led lights last for over 10,000 hours!

I'm sure you checked, but are you sure you're getting power to the plug for the 3rd light?
Maybe take the light out and bench test it so you can eliminate it as the problem.

No, I haven't found the plug for the light yet. I briefly removed the fixture last night and saw that the wiring lead just went through a grommet with no plug or connection that appeared to be removable. I did verify that this is the same lead that passes behind the left tail light and continues underneath. Next, I want to do as you suggested and either test the light with 12v, and test the open lead to see if there is 12v when the brake is depressed.

Thanks for the input!
