Has anyone retrofitted the stock headlights with some projector HIDs? I am not talking about the plug and play HIDs. Anyone?

yea, here is our enclave cut off. only problem is that they are Bi-xenon. dont know how hard that would be ( probably harder) to retrofit.

LT, those are very impressive. I wish someone would freakin' make some for the '07 Yukons while they're at it... The stock "projectors" are mediocre IMHO, and my '04 cutoff lines (stock) were very pretty impressive.

I wonder why no-one makes a lens-based projector setup yet for GMT900 Yukon? That'd be a worthy investment I'd likely make. Never really liked the GMT900 Yukon headlights anyway.

GMT900 Tahoe / Burb seems to have at least three aftermarket option styles thus far....

1) http://dallas.craigslist.org/pts/552577589.html
2) http://www.globalsources.com/gsol/I/Headlight/p/sm/1004713703.htm

OEM projectors have nice cut off's .. I have install several aftermarket ones.. and to be honest.. they are not worth a penny.. I would rather invest on well done retrofit of which it can cost you as much as $500 a set..depending on what type of equipment you buy.

the enclaves look like that in person. keep in mind i was showing the cut off on bushes, on the garage wall and in pitch black, they look like a blade went throught them, and yes their stock.

Hmm. Maybe I'll give it a shot for all of us. Maybe some TSX projectors. I did a retro on my GS 300 and it came out awesome.

I am trying to get a hold of some stock headlights, and I am going to go for it. I will take pictures of everything. It looks like the tsx projectors might be my safest bet. I got LS430 projectors in my GS, and those projectors are too big I think for the Tahoe.

This is an awesome projector. I don't have any good shots of how wide the beam is, but its super wide. This is why its one of the most popular projectors.

My cut off is a little off. I need to realign the projectors a little bit more. But you get the idea.

I might. I just got all LED interiors for my GS from superbrightleds.com. I got Polarg M4s as my wedge bulbs, you can see them in the picture. I got Polarg M6s as my reverse lights.

If you do the TSX projector retrofit, please post LOTS of pics while you're doing it (like after you figure it out obviously). It's something that's been bugging me alot about the OE 07+ Yukon Denali headlights. Personally, I would also clear out the amber in mine while I'm in there... Also, any idea how the hi beams are supposed to work on those projectors; are they a bi-xenon / rotate type deal, or are they typically separate bulbs on a TSX?

I will make sure to take lots of pictures and do a nice write up. I will probably end up clearing the amber as well. This project will most likely take me a few weeks to complete. I need to collect all the parts; projectors, ballasts, bulbs, wire harness, and not to mention the trial and error of doing something for the first time. I am going to get an extra set of headlights to take apart as well.

I don't believe the TSX bulbs are bi-xenon. And since they are not, I will probably just leave the stock bowls and bulbs as is.

TSX are not. But it does not matter to him as he has a tahoe which has seperate bulbs for his high beam. I can see how that would be an issue for you since you have h11 duel filament bulbs ( i think you have Bi-xenon kit right?)

GMT900 Yukons are H13/9008's. Yep, I've got a bi-xenon (rotate style) kit. So I'd have to figure that part out -- maybe use the upper amber light as the high beam, using a second set of projector lenses and a second set of HIDs... It'd be a cool project, but pretty tricky and somewhat costly as well.
