do you have to remove the whole headlight or can you just swap the bulbs from the back with headlight assembly in place

If you can fit your hands in there without taking the entire headlamps assemblies out, good luck!

You are gonna have to take the whole headlight out. I even recommend removing the bumper cause it makes it much easier to get the headlight out not to mention you can them mount the ballast right behind the bumper. The bumper is easy to get off.
