I'm new to the forum and I have a situation that I have been trying to solve for sometime. My 96 5.7l tahoe hesitates and stalls upon acceleration and I can't seem to find the cause. At top end it runs fine! It all started with a bad cat diagnosis a few years ago. I removed cats, got 02 simulators and same problem. Changed spiders, cap/rotor, plugs (gaped 60?), wires and coil pack! Fuel pump, tps and maf also rebuilt tranny!

hesitation

Although mine is a 5.3, you might look into your intake plenum gaskets, or a vacuum leak at the intake.

I had my truck diagnosed with a snap on scanner and it showed multiple misfires on cylinder 3. Changed plug to see if it runs better and it did at first, but, I noticed a little hesitation so I will check the cap and rotor today. I sprayed carb cleaner around intake and detected no leak.
