I have a 2003 tahoe at stock height. Which tire size would be best with leaving it stock? 305/45/22 or 305/40/22?? Also, I have 275/55/20 on it right now, will the ride be much different? Thanks:confused:

They will both fit but I'd recommend a 285/45/22 if you plan to drop the truck even a little. Ride will be stiffer with less sidewall but it kind of depends on what tire you run. I had some goodyear 275/55/20s on my truck and upgraded to pro comp all terrains in the same size and the truck rides 10x better and handles quite well compared to the goodyears. The 305/45/22 will fit with a slight drop depending on what offset wheel you are running, these trucks can clear a pretty big tire without rubbage as long as your wheels have plenty of backspacing.

i have 305/35/24 pirelli's and my truck rides pretty smooth. people who get in the car make it a point to mention so. i would check the tire manufactures specs on tire width/diameter. the numbers on the sides of tires arent always a good indication of how big the tire really is. if you have tire pressure monitors, pick up a second set of sensors for the new wheels or the service light will drive you nuts.
