This is my first post so please be patient if i have posted this on the wrong location.
I just bought an 07 Tahoe lt fully loaded minus the moon roof. It has navigation (which for some reason looks like graphics from the original Mario video game) but thats not the issue at hand. My biggest concern right now is the controls for the second row passengers. The screen is blank with no signs of life i haven't tried using ear phones yet but idk if the volume/tuner knobs work but i know the "skip button" doesn't affect the dvd being played at all. The Power button does turn the over head dvd screen off as well as the rear speakers (but the volume knob doesn't effect the speakers) the button to increase/decrease the blower fans works good you can hear and feel the blower get stronger then softer but the temp control button does nothing. No increase to Heat or ac. I'm not sure what the issue is but any help at all would be appreciated. Please advise if you need more info.

First off... :welcome:

New to Tahoe but found this with a quick google. I know you have an 07 but may help. I would certainly start with the fuse and then remove everything from console to access back of control panel. May have dirty or loose wires.

The rear seat audio controls operate off the INFO fuse in the underhood fuse panel. If the fuse is good, the problem may be in the rear control panel itself. I have included below a technical bulletin explaining this issue. Disconnecting and reconnecting the rear control panel may temporarily restore operation. If it does, the suggested fix is to replace the control panel with an updated part.

#03-08-44-018C: Rear Seat Audio (RSA) and/or Rear HVAC Inoperative (Replace RSA Module) - (Jan 9, 2006)

Subject: Rear Seat Audio (RSA) and/or Rear HVAC Inoperative (Replace RSA Module)
Models: 2003-2006 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT
2003-2006 Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado Crew Cab, Suburban, Tahoe
2003-2006 GMC Sierra Crew Cab, Sierra Denali, Yukon, Yukon XL, Yukon Denali, Yukon Denali XL
2003-2006 HUMMER H2
with Rear Seat Radio Control (RPO UK6)

This bulletin is being revised to add 2006 model year vehicles. Please discard Advanced SI Resolution Bulletin Number 03-08-44-018B (Section 08 -- Body and Accessories).
Condition

Some customers may comment that the Rear Seat Audio (RSA) or the rear HVAC controls are inoperative. The display will be blank and there is no communication to the RSA/HVAC module.
Cause

A microcontroller was found to lock up causing an "ALDL No ALDL" communication condition. This required the cycling of power by disconnecting/reconnecting the RSA module.
Correction

Replace the RSA module to correct this condition. The RSA module has been updated to eliminate the "HVAC No ALDL" communication concern.

Awesome info, thank you for the reply. So, I checked the fuse and it's good. While tinkering with it i have stumbled across new info. 1 the earphone jacks work properly as well as the volume knobs when you place the source on the correct channel (fm/dvd/am/aux ect.) The tricky part is finding the source channel because the display is blank. 2 the fan motor speed works properly increasing and decreasing just no display to reflect. 3 the seek buttons do not work 4 the temp control does not work for some reason. 5 i have no clue what the button in between the fan speed and the temp control does but it's shaped like a person sitting. This button doesn't change anything so I'm assuming it doesn't work.
I pulled the controls out and unplugged them, then reconnected with no success. Nothing changed after i reconnected the controls so I'm wondering if the controls need to be replaced. What do you think?

Well... if it were mine, I would get codes pulled first. Autozone does it for free here. If nothing, I would seek out a fellow tahoe owner to let me try their unit. Last would be junkyard replacemen. May not be controller and im no electrical guy...

I have an ls and no DVD screen. And my back audio controls don't work. Was wondering since it was a ppv if the cop unconnected it so perps wouldn't mess with it
