I have a 99 Tahoe and not long ago my front interior heating and air fan suddenly quite working on all but high/ wide open. The fan later began making noise like there was bad bearing. I ordered a new fan assembly and wondered what else I may need to get my A/C working again properly. Does anyone know what else I may need to replace such as the resistor. Don't know much about this fan blower but it seems pretty straight forward to replace but since I don't know what does what, I don't know what else I may need to replace.

Any ideas would greatly be appreciated and the direction I should take in diagnosing the heating and air. Thanks...

Check the fan switch/ connector, I have had to replace both a few times.... the terminals on the switch overheat and melt/ burn the plug. Put a dab of bulb grease on each terminal before reassembly if replacing or if good before reassembly... I just had issues with mine doing a no speed but high, the switch/ connector was good, but when wiggling the wires to the resistor my mid range speeds would come/go. It had alot of rust on the terminals on the inside.....
