Heat controller

Does anyone know where i can find a heat controller for my 96 tahoe with rear defrost? hopefully a cheap one

last time i was up at "Big T's" salvage yard (Indianapolis ,IN) he had 5-6 sitting on a shelf. not sure how much he wanted for them though. i can dig up his number if you want.

if you have any local salvage yards or better yet a pull your own part place that would be where i would start.

thanks anyway. i was kinda hopin that someone might have one laying around. is it common for them to take a ****? looks like the fan speed switch shorted out

mine did the same thing. Make sure nothing from radio got into the circuit board. Like the antenna wire??? From GM they are like 250 list. But some will sell to you for like 160 + tax. HUGE MARKUP!!!!!

Look on EBAY. seen a few that are new for like 110

What exactly went out - it is common for the first control knob to go out.. - and you can get that one at autozone.. - its a simple bolt on switch
