Headrest TV Monitors

can you add tv monitors to your headrests if you already have factory overhead monitor and nav? If so how?

You should be able to. There may be a better way, but simply splitting the signal cable that goes to the overhead display to the headrests as well should work.

Gambler is correct....only thing is to you a video amplifier (which i used)....it will boost the video output. 1 input....4 output.

would that work if i wanted to use the stock DVD in a nav, even with out a dvd player.

my nav system can play DVD's while in park.


also OT but is that your wife or GF in your sig, or just some random hot chick??:D

That's a good question.....I've never seen the back of the factory Nav but I am pretty sure there is no video output. Someone hopefully will chime in but I would assume there is some kind of adaptor out there to give you a video source from the stock Nav/dvd.

yeah the video output for the overhead look just like speaker wires...i would just splice into them pretty straight forward

not sure if there on there if you DONT have the overhead screen

FYI

I've also seen a photo of a Yukon with "DUAL FLIP-DOWN" tvs. one for the 2nd row folks and 1 for the 3rd row folks. but units like identical. I thought I saved the pic but can't find it now..helllll.

but its a pretty nice idea. I might look into it.
