Anyone know if the nylon inserts that the headlight adjusters fit into on the headlight housing are available from GM? The ones on my Yukon are rotted and brittle and will not hold the threaded adjuster. I do not live near a dealer, and trying to explain the part over the phone has not been easy. They tell me that GMC does not sell them separately from the headlight itself ($300!). I find that hard to believe. Are the mounts the same for all GM/GMC trucks?

I'll call the black part you are typing about as buckets. To my knowledge the adjusting screws are part of this bucket assy. That being the case, it is a good possiblity that you may find these things, headlights and all in a salvage yard.

Mine are brittle as yours. I am going to be purchasing new aftermarket headlights to set my truck from others on the road. If you do it this way, they automatically come with new buckets.

Actually, the part I need is just the small nylon fitting that the ball end of the threaded adjuster snaps into. They are in the headlight itself. A $.02 part- the junkyard is my next step. They'll prob. be as shot as mine, though.
