I just bought a new 2014 Tahoe and the headrest is tilted forward at an angle that is not parallel to the seat back. To make a long story short, I have some neck and back problems that cause this to be a major problem for me and makes the vehicle pretty much undriveable for me except for short trips. I've called a few places to see if the headrest can be modified but nobody wants to touch it. I've seen a few people ranting about this same problem with other vehicles online with various solutions, none of them good. The real problem is that all vehicles are made this way now due to a federal safety rule or some such, which is all well and good, but the remote possibility of a slightly more aggravated injury is better than me being inured more every time I get in my truck. I only need to tilt the headrest back about 15 degrees to go from undriveable to perfect. I've tried the following:

1. Take it out of the car altogether (doesn't work - I have to have neck support)

2. Turn it around backwards (doesn't work - no neck support)

3. Call a custom shop (I've tried 2 and nobody will touch this with a 10' pole)

4. Find a headrest at a junkyard and modify it (can't find one in Birmingham where I live)

If I could bend the 2 posts back (at the top of the posts) or even modify or re-pad the foam padding inside, that might work, but I can't get the leather cover off.

If anybody has any ideas, I really need some help on this. Thanks!
