Hello all.

Just bought a 2001 Tahoe LT. It developed a noise issue. It was a pulsing grinding noise every time I made a left turn or drove on roads making left curves. After a lot of research, I was leaning towards the left wheel bearing. I bought a new hub and replaced it today. Took it for a test drive and it was quieter but still there. Now, I can hear it while driving strait. I'm confused. My buddy that helped me replace the hub told me that it could be the front differential. I'm lost for words right now and pretty depressed. I am low on money and didn't expect to put any money into it until I paid it off. We put it in 4WD HI and the pulsing grinding noise was louder which is why he suspects it was the differential.

I'd like your input on this. What shall I do? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I would first check the fluid in the front diff. And change it, diffs and kinda difficult to brake so i would look at different things. Does it sound like a brake capilar sticking? Mine did that for a while and sounded like you said. If it was the diff the sound wouldnt of gotten better with the new wheel bearing

Sorry the the late reply. The hub on the passenger side went out as well.

When I first checked it, it was fine.. but after I replaced the drivers side, the passenger side went out.

I replaced it and its all good. No more noise. YES!
