well ordered a Corvette servo for my 03 Yukon, wanted to firm up the shifting some as it was realllllly slow between gears.
So ordered the kit and got it in. Call my buddy whom owns his own tranny shop. He builds many race tranny's for people around here, and did mine in my 70' chevy. LOVED it.

anyway, took it in, he said while he had it up on the lift, he was going to do some mods to help the shifting, firming up even more than the servo could alone. Cool...pick it up this afternoon. :)

well he calls me a few minutes ago, tranny is going out. As soon as he pulled the pan, he saw metal everywhere.
he called and said it won't last long, and if I wanted to go ahead and do the mods, fluid and filter change.
I was like "nope, got a warranty to 100,000 and or 2010"
So needless to say, warranty work has been approved, tranny 'should' be done and re-installed by tomorrow night. Will have all mods beefing it up, chrisp shift like they shoud have been done, for free..... :D
aaahhhh, gotta love warranties.

I have the $100 powertrain warranty too, hopefully I blow the trans before 112k or I'll just have to buy a built one from FLT. Trans and tcase are too damn spendy on these trucks, I didn't want to risk it and the gm at the dealer gave it to me for free.

if you know of a good tranny shop and guy, most will make sure you get it covered under warranty, they (warranty provider) never second guess it :)

That's awesome, who is your warranty with?

Let us know if you get cancelled or not. I have a 100k 6 year on mine and made a $1600 claim in July and a $500 claim in May, I'm afraid to make another claim for a while becuase my dealer said they'll probably try and drop me if I make another big one.

if you paid for an extended warranty, from date to date or mileage to mileage, they cannot drop you.
