OK ,I'm a little confused here.(nothing new) I get the extended warranty for my 2008 Yukon which presently has 17k on it. If I get a 36 month /60K extension.... it starts now. I am about 18 months into my 36mo/36mi. dealer warrranty now.So really i'm paying for maybe only another 18 months not 36 right? From this way of looking at it and the prices for the extended warranty it pays to wait until a few months prior to my 36 mo. expiring. It does not start when my 36 month warranty expires right?
Thanks ahead of time.

Here you go: http://www.gmoutlet.com/gmpp.htm

My dealer said it was cheaper than what they have to pay. And yes it is GMPP.

I just used http://www.gmoutlet.com

Just paid $1685 for 72mo/100,000 Miles for a 2015 Tahoe I picked up this morning.

FYI - This plan is not a GMPP (which is owned and handled by Allied Bank)

This is a 100% GM Owned plan called "GM Extended Protection Plan - Platinum"

IMO extended warranties are never worth the money. Insurance companies are playing the odds and they always win. Just like in Vegas. Save money back every paycheck for maintenance and repairs and at the end you will be money ahead. Do some of the warranties end up paying off? Yes, but a very small percentage. By the way Yukon Joe XL, in that case the extended warranty is really an "Instead of" warranty. When the overlap happens, the latest warranty takes over and the time left on the older warranty is no good. If latest warranty doesn't cover something that was covered on the older warranty then you are out of luck.
