What's up everyone?

I am a new member and let me start off by saying this is one of the greatest forums I have ever come across!!! I just bought a 2008 LS Tahoe 2WD and I love it. My question is for you guys running 24" wheels and bigger. Have you noticed any early wear and tear on your truck due to running big wheels? For example; brakes wearing out faster, suspension problems and obviously I know it's not gonna ride the same. The reason I ask is because I plan on putting 24s on my truck but was wondering if I should upgrade certain things so the truck can handle the big wheels. I am looking at maybe a big brake kit and I will eventually lower it. Is there anything else that should be done? I want my truck setup right, not half assed. I see too many people out there throwing these huge wheels on just about anything just beacuse they think it looks good. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!!!

First off, welcome to the site:beerchug:
Bigger wheel and tire combos will definitely wear things out faster. You'll also notice a slight decrease in acceleration and braking, as well as mpg.
You definitely want to upgrade the brakes as soon as you can. The added weight of the wheels adds a lot of rotational mass and makes it harder for the stock brakes to stop the wheels from rolling. The pads and rotors will heat up faster and can lead to brake fade in a panic stop, increasing your braking distance, which is never good.
You'll also experience accelerated wear on your steering components, such as the tie rods, pitman and idler arms, etc. There are aftermarket parts available that are heavier duty and will last longer.
