gauge module replacement

I did a quick search but didnt see anything like this soooo....

2 questions,
I want a Tranny temp gauge. I know some models have one in the lower left corner, mine is blank. If I pull a gauge console out of one that does have the temp will it work in mine? I'm thinking the computer is probably monitoring it and simply sending the signal to the gauge if it is there.

also, is there a model that is interchangeable with my 02 that has white face gauges? if I am going to change them I woul like to swap it out with some white ones. Maybe a Denalli or Yukon?

The trans temp sending unit is pre-installed from the factory, so another gauge cluster with the trans temp on it will work, from 99-02. You can install one from the Escalade or HD model trucks. Both have the trans temp gauge, but the Escalade bezel has chrome rings around the gauges and more elegant style font.
