Gas Tank Size

Just a general question here.

How big is our Gen tahoe's tank?
I filled up from the smaller hash by the E and I could only get 23 gallons in.
All specs on the internet say its 30 gallons and the manual says 30 gallons.
Saw on here that someone posted there was a lawsuit about the tank sizes being incorrect but not a lot of action on that thread.
Also what confuses me when looking for a replacement OEM tank, a 30 gallon tank is the only one offered.

So I guess I'd just like some closure lol

My 99' 2dr 4WD Tahoe LT has a 30 gal tank. Bought new in Dec 98'.

Same here, when I fillup at the last white tic near the 'empty' red tics, it takes 20-21 gallons. That's quite a bit of reserve...

Haha see this is what I've been hearing. One says 30, one says maybe 25.

There is still alot of gas left, fill up a 5 gallon tank to keep in the back and run the main tank dry, then you will have your answer.

just be careful not to burn the fuel pump lol
